Immie Jonkman is an ardent, insightful, collaborative front woman. She was born in the Wâlden and after a temporary banishment to the city of Leeuwarden, she nestled again in the middle of the woods. From there she works for projects such as the Elfstedentocht and Arcadia Triennale. “I am the sort of advisor you don’t come across often. My mother taught us that it was better not to be a little grey mouse - I took that to heart.”
Immie has her feet firmly on the ground and believes that you should always strive for big goals, because “then we achieve much more than if we set the bar low”. Inspired by this she builds ambitious organisations, which she streamlines and manages with a healthy mix of business and creativity.
What makes Immie so unique is that she takes a seat as an advisor, but always keeps her festival cap on. She employs audiences, stakeholders, artists and entrepreneurs, while always connecting them all. We bet you can't name anyone else who works like this to create a better world.Go back
