Workplace
mediation

Tensions at work can lead to conflict, unwanted turnover and absenteeism. Are tensions getting in the way of vital cooperation? Then mediation can be a solution. Mediators can help restart the good conversation and work towards solutions. A sustainable solution that suits the situation and takes everyone's interests into account.

What does workplace mediation entail?

A conflict between employer and employees can cost a lot of time, energy, and money for everyone involved. Workplace mediation can help avoiding tense situations slowing down the day to day process. In standstill situations it can help to get a team going again. Within confidential meetings, accompanied by a neutral mediator, both sides are trying to find a solution on the foundation of common ground.

How it works

The mediation process starts with you application on this website, via email, or with a phone call. After you apply, one of our mediators contacts all the parties involved, to understand the situation and determine if your situation can be helped or improved using mediation. Cost sharing and an order confirmation are also discussed in those talks.

"I can now move on again! The mediation gave me a grip on my situation again. I never thought we could come out of it together. Yet we succeeded and were able to shake hands again."

Why to choose workplace mediation?

Because no way out of the labour dispute is found without outside help. And the desire is there, to reach a solution together without a costly legal battle. Perhaps the company doctor has recommended mediation. It helps to reach an acceptable solution for all concerned.

How does it work?

An independent and impartial mediator guides both parties to an outcome acceptable to all. Mediation is voluntary and can be stopped at any time by either party or the mediator. The mediation stops only after all options have been carefully explored to reach an agreement.
The process consists of the following steps:
- Preliminary conversation
- Joint kick-off meeting
- Mediation sessions
- Capturing the solution
- Completion & reporting

Common Ground Common Sense's mediator provided us with excellent guidance during talks about a mutual agreement dismissal. His approach was smooth, professional and focused on mutual understanding. Thanks to his expert mediation, the process went smoothly and constructively. Highly recommended!"
