Online mediation

Not in every case, but very often it is also quite possible to conduct a mediation process partly or even entirely online. At Common Ground Common Sense, we have set up the digital environment so well that all participants in the mediation can rely on a secure online mediation experience.

How online mediation works

Via secure video connections from Teams of Zoom, the conversation proceeds almost identically to a ‘regular’ mediation. But without the travel time required by all involved. Online mediation is therefore often surprisingly efficient.

A ‘real’ meeting has the advantage that you can still get a slightly better feel for each other based on all the non-verbal communication, but reading everyone's face is again easier in a video call. In a ‘real’ meeting, we can influence all conditions from the meeting room to the quality of the coffee. And everyone is literally in the same ‘boat’. Therefore, the feeling of accomplishing a task together may be achieved a little easier.

A kick-off meeting on location and the follow-up further online is of course also quite possible. Discuss your wishes and ideas about this with your mediator. Together, you can then find the most appropriate working form for your situation.

"I can now move on again! The mediation gave me a grip on my situation again. I never thought we could come out of it together. Yet we succeeded and were able to shake hands again."
