Sjoerd Wagenaar is our Creative Director, a straw castle builder and undeniably someone who thinks out of the box. He is a real maker as well, but actually once a window dresser. “My parents had a furniture store and I was allowed to dress the window. That's how I began building small sets from an early age. ”
Nowadays Sjoerd can never be found in one place. He is regularly asked to contribute ideas as an artist and as a theatre maker in projects related to area/district development. “I'm actually an amateur anthropologist. I look at people and their relationship with regions from a cultural perspective. I did that for PeerGroup, which I set up after my studies, and I still do this, but now also at an international level.”
